The crochet method is a way of adding extensions. Unlike a weave, the hair used is loose and is not sewn in. Instead, crochet hair is looped under the cornrows with a crochet needle (hook) and secured with a knot.
A temporary protective style similar to box braids; however, loc extensions are intended to be a permanent extension of your hair. Faux locs are done by twisting or braiding the real hair and then wrapping additional hair around the braid/twist.
